Sheet Music

My Teaching Philosophy

Drawing inspiration from both historical pedagogical practices and contemporary teaching approaches, my mission as a professional musician and educator is to equip students with a comprehensive understanding of music that empowers them to express their unique ideas and interpretations.

Rooted in tradition, my teaching philosophy places a strong emphasis on providing students with a rich knowledge of technical, musical, historical, and expressive elements. By delving into the historical context of each piece, students gain a deeper appreciation for the music they perform, enabling them to connect with it on a personal level. This historical insight also serves as a foundation for students to develop their own interpretations and artistic voices.

In parallel with this historical perspective, I integrate contemporary teaching methodologies to ensure that students are equipped with the skills and tools needed to thrive in today's musical landscape. From beginner to advanced levels, I incorporate a variety of innovative techniques and resources to enhance learning and foster creative expression.

Weekly private lessons are tailored to each student's interests and goals, providing a platform for exploration and self-expression. While maintaining a focus on fundamental techniques and repertoire, I encourage students to explore their own musical ideas and interpretations, cultivating their confidence and self-motivation as musicians.

Central to my teaching approach is the belief that a comprehensive understanding of music theory, analysis, and historical context empowers students to make informed artistic decisions and express themselves authentically. Through collaborative opportunities with peers and participation in studio recitals, students further develop their listening, communication, and performance skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.

Ultimately, my goal is to cultivate a trusting teacher-student relationship that inspires students to become lifelong learners and passionate advocates for music. By combining the timeless wisdom of historical pedagogical practices with the dynamism of contemporary teaching approaches, I aim to empower students to realize their full potential as musicians and storytellers.
